My 2018 New Year’s resolution was to find an organization that excited me. That is when I found the Movemeant Foundation and We Dare To Bare, where women empower one another to break free from stereotypes and learn to love their bodies in new and powerful ways. This year I challenged myself to join in the movement, inspire and embrace this unique opportunity. I registered for the event as a VIP, which involved raising $2,000. After only 10 days of fundraising I had not only met my required fundraising but was asked to be featured on their blog. On May 19th, when the day had finally arrived, I was joined side-by-side with some of my “soul sisters (and brother)” and we rocked out in our sports bras both on a bike and on a mat. This inspiring and empowering event, known for its community building powers, did NOT disappoint. I was bummed when it all came to an end. What we created as a community was nothing short of magic. We joined together as a fitness community AND a female community. Now that I know I am brave enough to bare it all, I am already looking forward to next year.
